Wind energy in Pakistan: Korean firm to set up 200 MW wind power plant

The six member delegation of Kospo, led by its president Sang Ho Lee, said that they are on a visit to Pakistan to in pursuance of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) – Cooperation of Development Wind Turbines Project in the Sindh – which was signed between Sindh Board of Investment and Kospo during Shah’s visit to Seoul.

Lee, on the occasion, said that his firm is interested in solar power generation and water pumping in the agriculture sector. He also expressed his interest in Thar coal project.

Referring to his visit to South Korea in May 2011, Qaim said the latest information about infrastructure, facilities and natural resources available in Sindh had been provided to the Korean investors there.
