Gujarat Fluorochemicals gains on commissioning wind farm project in Gujarat. Gujarat Fluorochemicals rose 0.7% to Rs. 404 at 12:28 IST on BSE after the company said it has completed commissioning of its 50 megawatts wind power project in Gujarat based on wind turbines manufactured by company’s subsidiary, Inox Wind.

The mid-cap stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 9 December 2011, falling 24.52% compared with the Sensex’s 6.62% fall. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, sliding 25.33% as against 3.87% decline in the Sensex.

Gujarat Fluorochemicals said, with the commissioning of latest wind farm project, the total installed capacity of wind farms projects operated by the company has risen to 54 megawatts (MW).

Gujarat Fluorochemicals’ net profit jumped 280.1% to Rs. 188.44 crore on 204.9% spurt in net sales to Rs. 536 crore in Q2 September 2011 over Q2 September 2010.

Gujarat Fluorochemicals (GFL) has interests in diverse businesses, including industrial gases, refrigerants, chemicals and carbon credits.
