Enel Green Power Wind Farm Enters Operation in Portugal

A new wind farm, owned by Enel Green Power’s subsidiary Enel Green Power España, has just begun operation in Portugal. The wind power plant, called Alto do Marco, is comprised of six 2 MW wind turbines for a total installed capacity of 12 MW.

The new wind energy plant will generate more than 32 million kWh, enough to meet the needs of around 12 thousand households as well as avoiding the emission of around 24 thousand metric tons of CO2 per year.

Thanks to this new plant, Enel Green Power’s total installed capacity in Portugal now exceeds 191 MW, of which 155 MW are generated from wind.
