Renault Twizy electric vehicles pricing announced

After being officially presented at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the electric car Twizy has finally been launched in the United Kingdom and Renault announced its price too, but its future customers will have to wait a little longer because the two-seater will be delivered next spring.

Coming in two versions, the Twizy is powered by a 15 kW (20 horsepower) motor, while the variant that doesn’t require a driving license, depending on the country, is coming with a 4 kW (5 HP) motor. Renault says that the 7 kWh lithium-ion battery is located underneath the front seat and the total weight of the EV is just 450 kg, with a 100 km range in a combined cycle.

The small electric car has been priced at 6.950 British pounds for the UK auto market and comes in standard with two gloveboxes, heated tinted windscreen, Z.E. onboard computer and dashboard with econometer and battery consumption display, three-point seatbelt with additional lateral restraint, front airbag, immobilizer, steering lock, 3 meter long charging cable and 13 inch wheels.
