Wind energy Goldwind to Launch Goldwind University

Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology Co., Ltd. ("Goldwind" or the "Group", SZ Stock Code: 002202, HK Stock Code: 2208), a leading manufacturer of wind turbines and major provider of comprehensive wind energy solutions in China, announced today the founding of Goldwind University, the first corporate university within China’s wind turbine manufacturing industry.

Mr. Wu Gang, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Goldwind, will assume the position of "Chief Learning Officer" (CLO). At the opening ceremony, he stated: "Goldwind University will instill the spirit of learning and innovation in every employee, encourage them to make landmark contributions to their field, and help steer the wind power industry to new heights."

Goldwind University aims to be the leading trademarked corporate learning organization in the clean energy industry. It was founded to enhance the competitiveness of Goldwind and advance the competency of the company’s personnel while fulfilling its corporate social responsibilities.

The university plans to hold training courses and lectures for internal personnel by Goldwind’s senior management, notable professionals from within the wind power industry, as well as academic advisors and professors from world-renowned educational institutions such as Stanford University, Peking University and Qinghua University.

Chinese philosopher Confucius’ Five Constant Virtues, which has acted as a moral code in Chinese culture for over 2,000 years, has also been partially integrated into the university. Each of the classrooms in the university has been named after one of the virtues which include benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom and fidelity.
