EDF Energies Nouvelles commissions Seyitali wind farm in Turkey

EDF Energie Nouvelles has announced plans to build a 30MW wind farm on the west coast of Turkey. The Seyitali wind farm will be located on the west coast of the Aegean sea in the province of Izmir. EDF commissions a 30 MW wind farm in Turkey with Enercon wind turbines. The wind energy project was developed and built by Polat Enerji, a 50/50 subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles and Adnan Polat Group; a well-known and experienced wind power developer.

On the West Coast, in the Aegean region, the Seyitali wind farm is located in the province of Izmir, a region with extremely favourable wind conditions. The wind farm is equipped with fifteen Enercon wind turbines, each with a unit capacity of 2MW.

The wind energy project was developed and built by Polat Enerji, a 50/50 subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles and Adnan Polat Group; a well-known and experienced wind power developer and the local partner of EDF Energies Nouvelles since 2008.

Following the commissioning of Burgaz in 2007 (14.9MW), Sayalar in 2008 (34.2MW) and Soma 1 in 2010 (79.2MW), this wind power project strengthens the Group’s position in Turkey. EDF Energies Nouvelles boasts a total gross installed capacity of 158.3MW (59.4MW net) in the country as well as 205.8 MW under construction.
