SEIA Partners with SolarNexus to Improve Management Efficiency of Solar Energy Companies

The Solar Energy Industry Association (SEIA) and SolarNexus announced a new partnership to promote efficient business practices of SEIA members by using the SolarNexus solar business management software system. SolarNexus helps solar contractors profitably manage projects, organize client data, and collaborate with team members, accelerating the process of selling, installing and maintaining solar systems. As part of this relationship, SolarNexus will also promote the benefits of SEIA® membership to the SolarNexus community.

“By reducing the inefficiencies solar contractors face in managing their leads, project workflow, purchasing and other ‘soft costs’, solar energy companies can save significant time and cost on their jobs. This partnership encourages SEIA members – and particularly solar contractors – to use SolarNexus as a free resource to help them reduce these costs and invest the savings in growing their business,” said Tom Kimbis, SEIA Vice President of Strategy and External Affairs.

SEIA has historically supported industry initiatives to reduce the installed cost of solar and help grow the industry. Through this partnership, SEIA expects the typical solar contractor to find soft cost reduction in at least five areas of their business: the management of leads, sales processes, projects, purchasing, and documentation. Lowering soft costs improves productivity and increases the scalability of solar contracting companies so they can grow, be more competitive and hire more employees.

“SolarNexus has long supported SEIA’s vital role in promoting the health and viability of our industry. Community is a vital element of what SolarNexus offers. We encourage the SolarNexus community to join and participate in SEIA to strength our industry as a whole,” said Eric Alderman, president and CEO of SolarNexus.

SEIA is hosting a free webinar on September 27th to provide more information about the partnership and give a demonstration of the new resources available. To sign up, visit www.seia.org/cs/events_education/SEIA_Webinars. Demonstrations will also be available throughout Solar Power International at the SEIA booth (#4312).
