Lauren-Jyoti Receives EPC Contract Award For 50 MW Concentrated Solar Thermal Power Plant

Lauren-Jyoti, a Joint Venture of Lauren Engineers and Constructors and Jyoti Power Structures, recently signed an EPC contract with Godawari Green Energy Ltd., a division of Godawari Power and Ispat Limited, for the Design, Procurement and Construction of a 50 MW Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) facility located in Rajasthan, India.

This project is a part of the Government-Sponsored Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission which has provided a timeline for developing a large number of solar projects in India over the next decade. Specifically, the Mission has set a target of 20,000 megawatts of solar power generation over the next decade.

The Godawari Solar Project is scheduled for completion by March 20, 2013 and will provide 130 GWh of power to the national grid annually.
