Duke Energy to build 69 MW wind farm in Pennsylvania

Duke Energy Renewables will build a 69 MW wind energy plant in Pennsylvania and sell all of the generated electricity to Delaware Municipal Electric with 30 Siemens wind turbines.

Duke Energy Renewables, a unit of Duke Energy (NYSE: DUK), will build a 69 MW wind energy farm in Pennsylvania and sell all of the generated electricity to Delaware Municipal Electric Corp. (DEMEC) under a 25-year power purchase agreement.

Duke Energy Renewables will build, own and operate the Laurel Hill Wind power Project that will use 30 Siemens (NYSE: SI) wind turbines capable of generating 2.3 MW each.
