Enel Green Power announces new wind farm in Greece

Enel Green Power has announced that its Kouloukonas wind farm, located in Rethimnon in the Island of Crete in Greece has become fully operational.

The wind farm brings the Group’s total installed wind energy capacity in the country to 186 MW. The wind power composed of 6 wind turbines of 0,85 MW each for a total installed capacity of 5 MW, and is expected to produce approximately 9,5 million kWh annually, therefore meeting the energy needs of 2,300 households. The clean electricity generated by the plant will reduce greenhouse-gas emissions by 10.500 tonnes CO2 per year.
