Gamesa to supply wind turbines to two wind energy plants in Spain

Gamesa, which is engaged in wind power design, manufacturing and maintenance, has reached an agreement with builder Aldesa to supply 80 MW of wind farm capacity to two wind farms, La Tella and Palomarejo, which the construction company will develop in the Spanish communities of Jumilla and Ecija.

La Tella wind farm (50 MW) will be equipped with 25 Gamesa G97-2.0 MW wind turbines, while Palomarejo (30 MW) will be powered by 15 Gamesa G90-2.0 MW wind turbines. The company expects to deliver the wind turbines for both wind power projects in the fourth quarter of 2011, the company said.

In addition to supplying wind turbines, Gamesa will perform assembly and start-up activities at both wind farm sites. Gamesa will also provide operation and maintenance services for a period of five years.
