Impsa places two wind energy plants into operation in Santa Catarina, Brazil

IMPSA, through its controlled company, ENERGIMP, has put two wind farm plants into operation in the state of Santa Catarina in southern Brazil.

The wind power plants began generating 33 MW and are part of a BRL1.3 billion 10-wind farm project of 222 MW of installed capacity. ENERGIMP, a company controlled by IMPSA and FI FGTS, is a wind power producer in Latin America, the company said.

The construction of the mentioned wind farms created 1500 direct and more than 6000 indirect jobs. In all, one 148 wind turbines of 1.5 MW built at IMPSA’s production center in Suape (state of Pernambuco) will be installed.
