Concentrated Solar Thermal Guide to Tariffs

Earlier this year, the International Energy Agency reported that with the right support, concentrated solar energy could provide 11.3% of global electricity by 2050. Spain, USA, Morocco, India, South Africa, Portugal, Italy and Greece have already provided specific incentives to foster Concentrating Solar Power’s development whilst acknowledging the potential of this technology.

Despite the special support schemes, constant regulation changes have created uncertainty around their scope of application; furthermore, they widely vary by country, by region and even by type of project. With this in mind, CSP Today has prepared the Concentrating Solar Power Feed-in Tariffs Guide. The easy to read compilation contains detailed information about the most generous incentives for the Concentrated Solar Thermal industry around the world. In addition, it will be periodically updated with new support schemes and modifications to the currently available ones.

The guide has been created in preparation for the 5th International CSP Summit (CSP Today Sevilla) taking place on the 29th and 30th November. "Since feed-in tariffs have been the main driver behind the industry development, understanding their ever changing landscape is vital to spot new opportunities and evolve, which is the main topic for this year’s conference" said Maria Slough, Event Director at CSP Today.
