Oldest offshore wind turbines still in flawless condition

On the brink of a new era of offshore wind power plants and giant wind turbines, ten 500 wind kW turbines on a sandy reef in the inland sea of Denmark remind us what focus on quality and effectiveness means over time.

16 years after they were commissioned, Vestas’ oldest offshore wind turbines at Tunoe Knob still produce power. Tunoe Knob wind farm today produces power for around 2,800 Danish households. Reducing CO2 emissions by 5,600 tonnes annually.
