Gestamp Renewables and RES Americas Announce Completion of Flat Water Wind Energy Plant

Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. (RES Americas), a national leader in the development and construction of renewable energy projects, and Flat Water Wind Farm, LLC which is a partnership between Gestamp Wind North America, a subsidiary of Gestamp Renewables and Banco Santander, S.A., are pleased to announce the completion of Flat Water Wind Power Project in southern Nebraska’s Richardson County and Kansas’ Nemaha County. Flat Water Wind Project is a 60 megawatt (MW) project consisting of 40 1.5 MW GE wind turbines. Substantial completion was reached on November 15, 2010, one month ahead of schedule.

The project owner and operator, Gestamp Wind North America selected RES Americas to be the BOP construction contractor. Gestamp Wind recognized RES Americas’ proposal to be the best value presented after a rigorous and competitive bidding process.
