Offshore Wind Energy China 2011

As the largest event for offshore in Asia, and the second in the world, OFFSHORE WIND CHINA 2011 is to be unveiled June 15-17, 2011 with a brand new level at Shanghai New International Expo Center and Shangri-la Kerry Hotel. The offshore wind energy industry leaders from home and aboard will take an active part in proving the unique charm of China as the country with the most potential for offshore wind power development in the world.

The exhibition will cover an area of above 20,000sq.m and the conference expects 800 delegates to attend.

The last event in 2010 gathered insiders and specialists from 25 countries and regions with an overseas percentage of 30%. The national and provincial development reform commissions’ officials led by Mr. Wang Jun, Director General of National Energy Administration New Energy & Renewable Energy Department addressed the event. Sinovel and Vestas, leading the global offshore wind power enterprises gathered together. China’s Giant Five farm developers also all participated. National pavilions from Denmark, UK and Norway came to design the blueprint for the world’s offshore wind farm development. For the conference, 98 speakers delivered speeches in 14 sessions, attracting 639 conference delegates. Over 130 domestic and foreign media made a full coverage of the brilliant event.

OFFSHORE WIND CHINA 2011 is characterized by more intensive focus on offshore and more extensive scope on supply chain compared with other events of its kind. The international percentage will be increased by the participation of national pavilions from Denmark, Norway, USA, UK, Germany, Korea and more.

Leading wind turbines manufacturers including Sinovel, Gold Wind, Shanghai Electrics, SANY, HARA XEMC, Ming Yang, CSIC, Windey, Xinyu, as well as international famous brands like Vestas, Siemens, GE, SUZLON, REpower, Yin He Avantis have all confirmed their active participation.

The conference for 2011 will present a high-level forum by China’s Reform and Development Commissions’ representatives from 5 provinces and Shanghai. There will be 3 parallel meetings with 14 various sessions on case study, wind turbines, blade and materials, installation & delivery, gear and bearing, anti-corrosion, certificate, offshore grid, finance and investment, etc.

During the event, a match-making is designed for wind turbine manufacturers and components suppliers, which will provide a face-to-face networking opportunity.
