GE to supply 14 wind turbines for two new wind power projects in Romania

General Electric (GE) will supply 14 wind turbines for Monsson Alma’s wind energy projects in Romania totaling 35 MW. GE will supply 10 wind turbines for the company’s wind farm Silistea 1 and four wind turbines for its wind farm Mireasa 2.

The contract also includes a ten-year and five-year prospectively maintenance period for the two wind power projects.

Both projects are 20 kilometers away from the Fantanele wind farm project, which was initially a Monsson Alma project, but was bought by CEZ Romania. GE is also supplying wind turbines for Fantanele.

“Through its progressive legislation, the Government creates one of the most favorable environments in Europe for developers on the renewable energy and encourages future investments in the wind energy field,” said Andrei Muntmark, commercial director of Monsson Invest Group.
