XZERES Launches Online Site Assessment Tool for Customers of the Buy Direct Program for Its Small Wind Energy Systems

XZERES Wind Corporation (OTCBB: XWND), designer, developer and producer of distributed generation, wind power systems for the small wind market (2.5kW-100kW), today announced the launch of an online site tool designed for customers to evaluate the potential for wind energy generation at their domestic location. The new site tool is a part of the XZERES WindRx™ financial analysis platform and gives instant access to information answering the question — is wind energy right for me?

The WindRx™ instant site report evaluates a customer’s potential location when they submit a simple form that includes their address and how much power they use each month. The WindRx™ instant report uses the best wind data available today to estimate a customer’s potential energy production from a XZERES wind turbine. A wind turbine recommendation is then made based on how much power the customer uses and how much the recommended wind turbine can produce given the annual wind speed at their location.

"Wind energy-based power generation requires an adequate wind resource to be economically viable. This new online assessment tool enables consumers to quickly and effortlessly educate themselves about their site location’s potential for a small wind power system and the economic value proposition for deploying such a system, including the money they can save on electricity by installing XZERES small wind turbines," stated Frank Greco, XZERES’ CEO. "We have experienced a substantial increase in online inquires from direct customers, further validating our push to offer such tools and ability for interested end-users to interface with us directly and the ability to self qualify for deployment of an XZERES small wind power system."

The WindRx™ instant report is a part of XZERES’ Buy Direct program, and industry first program offering and supporting turn-key wind energy solutions directly to consumers. The instant report is just a part of the full WindRx™ financial analysis outlining applicable financial incentives available for the installation, including federal, state and utility subsidies that are widely available today. By understanding total system production and system cost, consumers can determine the lifetime cost of energy from a XZERES wind turbine, usually just pennies per kilowatt-hour.

"With recent turbine advances, switching to wind energy is a smart choice for many commercial and residential customers who have consistently high energy bills and want a more sustainable way to power their homes and businesses," added Greco. "XZERES’s direct-to-consumer programs offer solutions to fit every customer’s needs, whether it be a direct purchase of a wind energy system or taking advantage of our recently-launched Micro Generation Utility model (http://investors.xzeres.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=533999)."

XZERES Wind Corp designs, develops, manufactures and markets distributed generation, wind power systems for the small wind (2.5kW-100kW) market. Our grid connected and off grid wind turbine systems, which consist of our 2.5kW and 10kW devices and related equipment, are utilized for electrical power generation for applications and markets such as residential, micro-grid based rural electrification, agricultural, small business, rural electric utility systems, as well as other private, corporate infrastructure and government applications. Our wind power systems are focused on distributed energy, where a specific machine’s energy output is largely or entirely used on-site where the equipment is installed, as well as grid connected applications. While many of our customers take advantage of their local net-metering rules within the United States and Feed In Tariffs that are often available in Europe and Internationally (to sell power back to the grid), our wind power systems are not dependent on transmission needs to carry the energy produced to another location.
