THINK further strengthen’s leadership team

Long-time auto industry finance leader, Thomas Kemeny, is appointed CFO with immediate effect. Tom joins the THINK global team in Oslo from his position as CFO at THINK North America. Previous to this he spent over ten years in finance management roles across Ford Motor Company and its subsidiaries, most recently as Director, Corporate Business Development at the Ford world headquarters in Dearborn.

An American national, Tom holds an MBA from Harvard, is married with three children, and will divide his time between offices in North America and THINK’s Oslo headquarters. Previous THINK CFO, Helge Nerland, has left the company to pursue new challenges.

Alain Haag joins THINK in the new position of VP Purchasing from his previous role as Vice President at Volvo Powertrain. At AB Volvo Group, Alain was in charge of programs building medium duty powertrain global platforms. Previous to this he was VP of Purchasing within the Volvo Powertrain function, where he led integration, global strategy and operational development.

A French national, Alain also served over ten years with Renault Trucks – Mack Trucks Group working in global purchasing, manufacturing control and logistics positions. He holds a MSc from the National Mining School St-Etienne, is married with three children and will live in Oslo.

Tom will bring what he’s achieved in North America and in dealing with the DoE to the headquarters here in Oslo, with a new vigour and enthusiasm. His role will become even more crucial as we ramp up operations around the world in 2011 – a very finance intensive operation,” said THINK CEO, Barry Engle.

As we move forward with numerous product updates and all-new models, this will be a vitally important function to execute efficiently and effectively. I have every confidence in Alain and his team’s ability to do just this.”
