An American national, Tom holds an MBA from Harvard, is married with three children, and will divide his time between offices in North America and THINK’s Oslo headquarters. Previous THINK CFO, Helge Nerland, has left the company to pursue new challenges.
Alain Haag joins THINK in the new position of VP Purchasing from his previous role as Vice President at Volvo Powertrain. At AB Volvo Group, Alain was in charge of programs building medium duty powertrain global platforms. Previous to this he was VP of Purchasing within the Volvo Powertrain function, where he led integration, global strategy and operational development.
A French national, Alain also served over ten years with Renault Trucks – Mack Trucks Group working in global purchasing, manufacturing control and logistics positions. He holds a MSc from the National Mining School St-Etienne, is married with three children and will live in Oslo.
“These two new appointments bring un-rivalled quality and experience to the top finance and supply chain echelons at THINK. Tom will bring what he’s achieved in North America and in dealing with the DoE to the headquarters here in Oslo, with a new vigour and enthusiasm. His role will become even more crucial as we ramp up operations around the world in 2011 – a very finance intensive operation,” said THINK CEO, Barry Engle.
“Alain Haag brings hugely impressive international automotive experience to THINK’s supply chain management. As we move forward with numerous product updates and all-new models, this will be a vitally important function to execute efficiently and effectively. I have every confidence in Alain and his team’s ability to do just this.”
