“Kelburn Wind Farm will contribute to Scotland’s ambitious new renewable energy target of 80 per cent by 2050,” says Gordon MacDougall, RES UK & Ireland Chief Operating Officer.
“Scotland is leading the UK in onshore wind energy and this project demonstrates its continuing success in attracting investment. There is great potential for further development across Scotland, which can bring clean, green renewable energy as well as employment and economic benefits to local communities. We look forward to welcoming Kelburn into RES’ growing portfolio of operational wind farms.”
When put into production, the wind power plant will save the environment from an annual emission of more than 50,000 tons of CO2 compared with average generated energy sources in the United Kingdom.
