Enel Green Power operates new wind farm in France

Operations started at the new Haut de Conge (24 MW) wind power plant, so that wind turbines capacity installed by EGP in France reaches 92 MW, with another 64 MW under construction.

On August 9th., the new Haut de Conge wind farm began operations in the region of Champagne-Ardenne. The wind energy  has a capacity of 24 MW (12, 2 MW wind turbines) and is the second largest operated by Enel Green Power in France. The expected production is 50 million kWh per year, meeting the annual energy needs of about 15,000 households.

“Thanks to this 24MW of additional wind energy capacity, we confirm our aim to reinforce our presence in France” – stated Francesco Starace, President of Enel Green Power “We will further develop our presence in this growing market leveraging on our competences in all the main renewable technologies, in particular in solar and hydro.”

Now that Haut de Conge has started operations, the total installed wind power capacity of Enel Green Power in France is 92 MW, with another 64 MW under construction.
