Vestas receives 32 MW wind power order in Sweden

Vestas has received an order from E.ON Vind Sverige AB for delivery of 16 units of the V90-2.0 MW wind turbine. The wind farm order has a total capacity of 32 MW to be installed in Nybro, Lilla Edet and Öringe.

Delivery of the wind turbines is scheduled to be completed in 2011. The contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines and a two-year service agreement.

“It is with great pleasure we announce this order today”, says Klaus Steen Mortensen President of Vestas Northern Europe. “E.ON is one of the main players in the energy sector and we are very satisfied with the trust that E.ON has shown in us for these three wind farm projects. The V90-2.0 MW wind turbine is a model with proven technology and it is perfect for the wind conditions in the southern parts of Sweden. The wind farm in Nybro will consist of ten wind turbines with a tower height of 125 metres each, which means they will be the tallest Vestas wind turbines installed in Sweden so far”.
