This project is sponsored by the China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP), which plans to build a 5 MW PV power plant in Inner Mongolia, China. Once completed, it will be the largest thin film PV project in China, and one of the largest in the world using silicon tandem junction technology.

The integrated mounting structure takes advantage of large panel size to make these modules the best choice for the construction of utility-scale solar farms. In addition, the customizable large area modules are attractive for architectural applications where the panels can be integrated into or replace conventional building materials in parts of the building envelope such as facades.
