GES will build a 49.5 MW wind farm in Zaragoza

GES, a comprehensive provider of engineering, construction and maintenance for renewable energies, has closed a new contract to build the Las Majas 6A wind farm, in the province of Zaragoza, for the company Forestalia, which will have a total installed power of 49.5 megawatts.

The wind power installation will consist of 13 wind turbines of 3.8 MW each, whose construction began in July and will last for 9 months. The new wind farm is expected to start operating in June 2022.

The GES company, based in Bilbao, is responsible for the engineering and construction of the project, it is in charge of both the civil works (with the more than 14 kilometers of roads and the 13 foundations and platforms for the wind turbines) and of the 30 kV underground medium voltage network, with more than 23 kilometers in length of trenches and for which more than 140 kilometers of cable will be used.
