Wind energy in USA: Vestas 54 V110-2.0 MW wind turbines for a wind farm

Vestas has received a firm and unconditional order in the USA for 54 V110-2.0 MW wind turbines, totalling 108 MW.

Turbine maker Vestas has received a pair of turbine supply orders totaling 382 MW for projects planned for the U.S. market.

The first order was placed by SunEdison for a 274 MW wind farm located in Texas. The contract calls for the supply of 83 Vestas V117-3.3 MW turbines. The order includes a 10-year service agreement. Commissioning is expected in the first half of 2016.

The second order, for 108 MW, calls for the supply and installation of 54 Vestas V110-2.0 machines. Delivery of the wind turbines is expected in the third quarter of 2016, while commissioning is expected in fourth quarter of 2016. Per the customer’s request, Vestas did not disclose the identity of the buyer.
