BayWa Taps Signal Energy to Build New Mexico Wind Farm Before Year End

Signal Energy Constructors, a major design/build general contractor providing engineering, procurement and construction services to the North American renewable energy industry, was recently awarded a full design/build contract from BayWa r.e. Wind LLC for the Brahms 20 megawatt wind farm.

The project is currently under construction and is scheduled for completion before the end of the year. Brahms is located in Grady, New Mexico, 25 miles outside of Clovis.

“Signal Energy’s commitment to building in-house expertise in the most critical areas of utility scale wind construction enables us to take projects, like Brahms, from design to completion with great efficiency and superior quality,” said Ben Fischer, CEO of Signal Energy.

A critical area of utility scale wind construction in which Signal Energy provides in-house expertise is preconstruction value engineering. Early stage performance of this value engineering analysis insures projects are designed in a way that maximizes long-term energy production and short-term capital costs for construction without compromising quality.
