American Clean Energy Announces Completion of 4.5 MW of Roof Mounted Solar Energy Facilities

American Clean Energy presently has a development pipeline of over 50MW in the Northeast consisting of utility, commercial and municipal installations.

American Clean Energy powers up 4.5 MW of solar arrays for the Toms River Regional Schools located in Toms River, NJ. The solar electric PV systems are comprised of 16,000 solar panels located on the rooftops of 13 of their buildings and provide annual output of 5,095,000 kWh. The clean electricity generated would satisfy the annual energy needs of approximately 575 homes.

‘Timing for this project is perfect,’ said Steve Morgan, CEO of American Clean Energy. ‘As our installations have come online during the past months, Toms River has already begun to receive significant financial benefit from the solar energy production. Additionally, as the economy rebounds most experts predict we can expect energy prices in New Jersey to return to the double digit price increases we were experiencing the three years before the recession began. As a result, our PPA agreement with Toms River Regional Schools will provide them with even more substantial savings over its term while also eliminating price volatility going forward.’

Frank Roselli, Superintendent of Toms River Regional Schools, added, ‘In addition to the energy savings, we are very excited about achieving the environmental benefits provided by going solar. It is important that our actions provide a living lesson to our students and the community regarding our commitment to a healthy, safe world. American Clean Energy’s competitively priced Power Purchase Agreement allowed us to achieve those goals without having to take money out of our pocket.’

The Environmental Report with Terry Bradshaw recently produced and distributed a short video segment on this exciting project which can be seen on YouTube with the following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sBQgGKK1UM

Geographically selective residential programs have also recently been launched.
