Andes Wind Parks files environmental declaration for 65 MW wind farm

Besides the plant with its 45 wind turbines, the wind farm also includes a transmission line to connect the future plant to Chile’s northern power grid SING.

Chilean wind energy developer Andes Wind Parks filed yesterday an environmental declaration for the construction and operation of a 65-MW wind power plant in Calama, northern Chile.

Andes Wind Park has earmarked a total USD 180 million (EUR 143.3m) for the project.
The environmental declaration will be analysed by the regulatory bodies by November 23, 2012.
