Kandi Shines at China International Green Vehicle Industry Expo (Hangzhou)

Kandi Technologies, Corp. (the ‘Company’ or ‘Kandi’) (NASDAQ: KNDI), a leading Chinese manufacturer and developer of pure electric vehicles (EVs) and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), today announced that the Company participated in the Second China International Green Vehicle Industry Expo (Hangzhou) (‘Expo’) sponsored by the China Electricity Council (CEC), China Industrial Energy Conservation and Clean Production Association, and Hangzhou Municipal Government at the Hangzhou Heping International Convention Center from August 10th to 12th, 2012 in Hangzhou, China.

The three-day expo was strongly supported by the EV Key Project office of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The ministerial leaders, representatives of 25 new energy vehicle demonstration cities and many authorities and experts of the industry were invited to attend the Expo and to discuss a variety of key industry topics of new energy vehicles in China with respect to EV policies, business models, demonstrations and evaluation, as well as batteries, motors, electric controls and other crucial core EV technologies. The Chairman and CEO of Kandi, Mr. Xiaoming Hu made a keynote speech of Self-driving Pure EV Rental for Public Transportation model at the EV Demonstration, Promotion and Commercialization Seminar on the morning of August 11th.

A wide range of participating companies exhibited their products at the Expo, including major auto, battery and parts companies covering the entire upstream and downstream of EV-related industries. Kandi brought five different model pure EVs to the Expo. Kandi vehicles’ trendy exterior design, compact size and comfortable riding experience received broad attention from attendees. At the Expo, Kandi also officially introduced and released its first ‘smart’ charging station vertical parking system for EV, jointly developed by Kandi and Leimeng Machinery and Equipment Co., Ltd., and demonstrated its technology and operation process on site, which became a focus of attention at the exhibition and was very well received by the attendees.

Many Expo participants expressed their strong interest in the innovative EV rental business model and had indicated much interest in having EV rental as easy as bike rental in the near future.
