Wind energy in Poland: Iberdrola opens a wind farm

Iberdrola, which is a sponsor of the Spanish football, starts just wind farm in the city hosting the games in the first phase of the national team.

With this wind farm, equipped with Gamesa’s wind turbines, Iberdrola reached the 184 MW of wind power installed in Poland, which already has five wind farms, which are the Karscino, Kisielice, Malbork, and the newly opened Galicja.

This wind farm will supply renewable energy to 20,000 households in this Polish city and avoid the annual emission to the atmosphere of 60,000 tons of CO2.

Located on the southern coast of the Gulf of Gdansk (Baltic Sea) and a population of some 460,000 inhabitants, is the main town in the province of Eastern Pomerania and Kashubia region.

Iberdrola already has a 8,360 MW from renewable energies in Europe (wind power, a concentrating solar power plant, marine energy), which has established itself as the leading company in this type of energy on the continent.
