Vestas to supply wind turbines for wind energy project in Finland

The company will deliver, install and commission ten units of its V112-3MW wind turbine in the municipality of Tervola in Finnish Lapland. The order also includes a six-year full-scope active output management 4000 agreement with an option for six additional years.

Delivery of the wind turbines is scheduled to begin in September 2012 and be completed by March 2013. Earlier this year, Finland launched a feed-in tariff system for renewable energy and it has a renewable energy target to produce six TWh from wind power by 2020. TuuliWatti was established in 2009 as a joint venture between S-Group and Finnish energy firm St1 Oy.
