Monsson Group, a Romanian private wind energy developer, has recently started construction work at the 150 MW Pantelimon wind farm located in Constanta county South East of Romania, according to the company. Around EUR 250 million will be invested in the new wind farm, which, when finished, will produce clean electricity for approximately 100,000 Romanian households.

Monsson Group is developing the Pantelimon wind farm in partnership with Vestas, reads the company’s statement. “The wind farm will be equipped with 50 Vestas V90- 3.0 MW wind turbines,” said Andrei Muntmark, Monsson Group’ s Commercial Manager.

Monsson Group has developed 2,400 MW of wind energy projects, with 750 MW already being sold to Continental Wind Partners, CEZ, Petrom or ButanGas. In the next three years, Monsson plans to increase its own power production from the current 25 MW (installed capacity) to up to 200 MW
