Vestas receives 69 MW wind energy order for Sweden

The planned investmentfor Phase 2 of the Jädraås wind farm, involving the construction of a further 70 MW (23 wind turbines), has now been taken. Wind power project is owned by Arise and Platina Partners.

Phase 1 comprises 130 MW (43 wind turbines) and construction is proceeding as planned. The total investment for Phase 1 and 2 is SEK 3.1 billion. The wind power project is owned in equal shares by Arise and Platina Partners LLP and is fully funded.

The Jädraås wind farm is one of northern Europe’s largest onshore wind farms with a planned annual production of 560 GWh of renewable electricity, of which Arise will account for half.

When the Jädraås wind farm is fully operational in spring 2013 Arise will have 240 MW in operation with a total annual production of about 640 GWh of renewable electricity, including the company’s share in the Jädraås project.

Arise Windpower is one of Sweden’s leading companies in onshore wind power. Its business concept is to sell electricity generated at the company’s own wind turbines.
