New wind energy factory for Emsland (Germany, Enercon)

New rotor blade factory for Emsland. Construction work has begun on ENERCON’s new rotor blade factory in Germany’s north-western region of Emsland.

The completion of the wind power factory, which will cover about 24,000 square metres is scheduled for June 2012 when the wind turbines plant will begin series manufacturing.

The new production site will manufacture rotor blade sets for the company’s wind energy converters. ENERCON is also setting up wind energy converter factories in Haren and Aurich in order to satisfy demand.

The new rotor blade factory in Haren will create several hundred new jobs by the end of 2012.
