Wind energy Goldwind furthers its global expansion effort

Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (“Goldwind”, Hong Kong Stock Exchange: 2208; Shenzhen Stock Exchange: 002202) has expanded its global wind power operations into Africa and South America with the establishment of regional offices in South Africa and Ecuador.

Goldwind’s recent office openings in South Africa and Ecuador mark a continuation of the company’s global wind turbines expansion effort. Over the past few months, Goldwind has also strengthened its North American presence with a regional office opening in Canada as well.

In recent years, Goldwind has sought to actively expand its global operations and increase its international exposure. To achieve this goal, the company has set a revenue target of deriving 30% of company gross profit from oversea wind farm markets by 2015.

Operationally, Goldwind has successfully marketed its leading wind turbines abroad and now has over 200 wind turbines installed or set to be installed across the wind farm plants globe. The company’s projects now span across the United States, Cuba, Australia, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Cyprus and some other overseas wind energy markets.

In keeping with the company’s strategy to maintain a strong local presence in its key overseas wind power markets, Goldwind has also established over a dozen regional offices across six continents in Asia, North America, South America, Australia, Africa and Europe.
