Mitsubishi lands order for 49 MW wind turbines from AES in California

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. won a wind energy order from AES Corp. subsidiary Mountain View Power Partners IV LLC. to supply 49 wind turbines.

AES will use the wind turbines, which have a total output of 49,000 kW, for a wind power project in California, according to a statement from Mitsubishi. The wind turbines are scheduled to be delivered at the end of 2011. The wind energy order would be worth around $60 million.
