PNE WIND completes 12 MW Oldendorf wind farm

The wind farm consists of 15 Enercon E53 wind turbines with an overall height of 100 m. The wind energy developer, PNE WIND AG (ISIN: DE000A0JBPG2), has completed the Oldendorf wind farm in Lower Saxony. 15 Enercon E53 wind turbines with a total nominal output of 12 MW and an overall height of 100 metres were constructed in this wind farm.

A relatively long planning phase preceded the construction of this wind farm due to local circumstances. Because of PNE WIND AG’s expertise, it has now been possible to complete the wind power project successfully with the complete construction of all 15 wind energy systems. After commissioning, the wind farm will be handed over to EnBW Erneuerbare Energien GmbH as the purchaser. As contractually agreed, PNE WIND AG will be responsible for its technical and commercial operation.

The wind energy systems constructed in Oldendorf wind farm can supply the annual electricity requirements of about 7,000 private households. At the same time, the wind farm makes a significant contribution to environmental protection because, due to the environmentally friendly production of electricity from wind, more than 14,000 tons of carbon dioxide and other pollutants will be avoided annually.

Martin Billhardt, Chairman of the PNE WIND AG Board of Directors says: "Patience was required in the construction of this wind farm. But our employees’ many years of experience in project development pays off in such situations. Thanks to their tireless commitment, we have succeeded in bringing this project to a successful conclusion."

PNE WIND AG with its headquarters in Cuxhaven develops and implements wind farm projects on land (onshore) and at high sea (offshore). Its core competence is the development, planning, implementation and financing of wind farms and their operation or sale including subsequent service. So far, the company has set up 97 wind farms with 563 wind turbines and a total nominal output of 804 MW.

Alongside its business activities in the established German home market, PNE WIND AG is also increasingly investing in dynamic growth wind power markets and has subsidiaries and representations via joint ventures in Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, the UK, USA and Canada.

Wind farm projects with a nominal output of about 3,450 MW are currently being processed in these countries and are to be implemented in the medium term. In Germany (onshore) currently wind farm projects with a nominal output of more than 800 MW are being processed.

Furthermore, PNE WIND AG develops offshore wind farm projects, three of which have already been approved in German waters. Entering promising foreign markets is also being examined for the offshore area.
