These systems are installed for a broad range of applications. 16 systems were installed in remote cellular telecommunication sites in Kenya with Safaricom Limited the area’s leading mobile phone operator that is jointly owned by Telcom Kenya and Vodafone Group.
These systems are in addition to the 2 systems that were installed by VRB Power Systems prior to its acquisition by Prudent Energy. These initial 2 systems have been operated by Safaricom for more than 3 years and have yielded superb results, cutting diesel usage by over 65%.
Multiple systems have been installed in the US and China for renewable resources energy generation projects. The systems were installed in these projects to provide services to grid including smoothing power output of solar panels and wind turbines, load balancing and other similar services.
Prudent Energy’s VRB(TM) systems were chosen for these projects because they have features that are great for grid operations: independent sizing of power and energy capacity, a long operating life, high efficiency and fast charging response.
