CIR wants to build in Romania several wind power plants

The Sorgenia company, of the Italian industrial group Compagnie Industriali Riunite (CIR) intends to build in Romania several wind turbines, in Vaslui county. 

At present, Sorgenia has authorization for the construction of a wind farm with total capacity of 106 MW,  the PR manager of CIR group Salvatore Ricco said.

The authorisations, obtained by Sorgenia in December 2009 and April 2010 are issued for Falciu, Vaslui county. The CIR group, set up in 1976 operates in energy, media, auto parts, health and financing services. CIR is controlled by Compagnia Finanziaria De Benedetti, holding owned by the De Benedetti family.

The capacities for wind energy production in Romania have almost 15 MW but the potential drew several investors, such as Enel ( Italy), CEZ ( the Czech Republic) or Iberdrola ( Spain).
