Enel Green Power completed the Vallée d?Arce wind power project in France

The Vallée d’Arce (Champagne-Ardenne region) wind farm, now completed with a total capacity of 30 MW, is the main Enel Green Power wind in France.

Following the recent installation of the last 12 MW at the La Druine site – which add up to the 12 MW at Le Nouret and the 6 MW at Le Noyer – the plant will now produce over 75 million kWh/year, thus meeting the electricity needs of more than 22,000 households and avoiding the annual emission of 60,000 tonnes of CO2.

"In 2009 – said Francesco Starace, President of Enel Green Power – we put in operation 8 new wind farms, for a total installed capacity of 60 MW, confirming our objective to expand substantially in France, where we see huge growth potential for wind power and solar energy. The current plant portfolio is an excellent basis for the deployment of the ambitious development projects we have in France for the next years".

Now that the Vallée d’Arce wind farm has been completed, Enel Green Power has 68 MW of wind energy capacity installed in France. Additional 80 MW are under construction regarding a number of projects, so that the pipeline in this country totalizes over 500 MW.

Enel Green Power is the Enel Group company dedicated to developing and managing worldwide energy generation from renewable sources in Italy and abroad.
