AES Wind Generation, a wholly owned subsidiary of AES Corporation (AES) announced today that it has acquired Your Energy Ltd (YEL), a United Kingdom (U.K.) based wind power developer.
AES Energy Storage and A123 Systems announced the commercial operation of a 12 MW frequency regulation and spinning reserve project at AES Gener's Los Andes substation in the Atacama Desert, Chile.

Bulgaria currently has 158 MW and is set to double that capacity when AES Corp. begins commercial operation on its 156 MW wind farm in Bulgarevo, near Kavarna in northeastern Bulgaria, in autumn 2009.
The project is expected to be finished by the end of the year, at which time the 67 wind turbines will be functioning.
