Suzlon Commissions 100.80 MW Wind Power Project in India

One of the biggest and successful power projects, which bear the capacity of 100.80 MW, got commissioned in India and all credit goes to Suzlon Group. Suzlon Group is one of the leading wind turbine suppliers ranked as the fifth largest in the world.

The new projects consist of 50.40 MW capacity each, which will be responsible for supplying energy to National Aluminium Co. Ltd.

As per a report, over 54,000 homes will be getting the advantage of clean energy and will also reduce 0.2 million tons of carbon emissions every year.

The mega wind power project got commissioned at Gandikota, which is located in Andhra Pradesh and Jath in the state of Maharashtra.

The commissioning of the 100.80 MW power project took place in the presence of Shri. Jual Oram, Minister for Tribal Affairs and Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of State for Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy and Mines.

On the occasion of such a proud moment, the CEO of Suzlon group Mr. J.P. Chalasani thanked NALCO for having faith and confidence on Suzlon. He also added that Suzlon group and his entire team is looking forward to work with NALCO in order to reduce the carbon footprint from the globe.

Mr. Ishwar Mangal, Chief Sales Officer of Suzlon Group added that more and more corporates should step forward towards wind power to save the climate and environment. He also said more investment should be done in this field so that we can meet the energy requirement as it is increasing day by day.

Mr. Mahesh Makhija, Director of Business Development of CPL, informed that wind energy is the only clean energy, which will make vital contribution towards the green environment and reduce the CO2 emission from the earth.

The technology used by Suzlon Group is different. Thus, it is opening a new range of market for the customers. The company deals with hi-tech engineering for the manufacturing of large wind turbines. On the other hand, for the new 100.80 MW wind power project, the company itself will be providing maintenance for the upcoming 20 years as per the Integrated Service Package contract signed during the initial process.
