Goldwind wins 99MW deal for installing 66 wind turbines in Sindh

China’s Three Gorges has ordered 66 Goldwind turbines of 1.5 MW each for the second phase of a project in Sindh.

The 99MW project is an addition to a 49.5MW site that was completed in 2014, according to Windpower Intelligence, the research and data division of Windpower Monthly.

The first phase of the project also comprises 33 1.5MW Goldwind turbines. CTG’s second phase is set to cost $230 million, according to Goldwind, and is due to put online next year.

To date, Goldwind has received orders for 400MW of turbines in Pakistan, the company said.
