Boralex commissions two Quebec wind energy projects with Enercon wind turbines

Boralex Inc. has announced commissioning of two wind energy projects in Quebec.

With partner Temiscouata Regional County Municipality, Boralex has commissioned the 23.5 MW Temiscouata 1 community wind farm.

The wind power project features 10 Enercon wind turbines and is the first phase of a 75.2 MW wind farm.

Boralex notes that work on the 51.7 MW Temiscouata II wind power project is progressing well, with the roads and foundations completed and the phase slated for commissioning in late 2015.

Separately, Boralex and partners Gaz Metro and Valener Inc. have commissioned the second phase of the Seigneurie de Beaupre wind farm complex. Phase II features 28 Enercon wind turbines totaling 68 MW. The project adds to Phase I, which was commissioned in late 2013 and has a capacity of 272 MW.

Boralex says the entire Seigneurie de Beaupre complex will reach 340 MW once the 25 MW Cote-de-Beaupre community wind project goes online in 2015.
