New Mexico wind farm to bring electricity to about 200,000 homes

A wind farm which will be able to power up to 200,000 homes will soon be built near Clayton, New Mexico.

Triangle Gallegos of Hereford won the bid to develop the project according to the State Land Commissioner Ray Powell.

The wind farm will generate about 500 megawatts of electricity and contain 285 wind turbines.

The Lease Trust land will also create about 47 million dollars for New Mexico state schools and universities.
