Huaneng Power International, Inc. announces recent completion of Changtu Taiping Wind Farm phase I

Huaneng Power International, Inc. (“HPI” or the “Company”) (NYSE: HNP; HKEx: 902; SSE: 600011) today announced that the construction project at Phase I of Huaneng Changtu Taiping Wind Farm (which is wholly-owned by the Company) in Liaoning Province, having an aggregate generation capacity of 49.5MW, had completed trial run recently.

To date, the Company’s total controlled generation capacity has increased to 61,996.5MW from 61,947MW, and total equity-based generation capacity has increased to 56,258.5MW from 56,209MW.
